Dreadful dinner...
Truthfully.. dinner was a quesadilla. Well.. for Tony. Ezra was lucky enough to get some apple slices and mixed veggies with his. Lol. I had picked at random things and wasn't hungry for dinner, but at 9:00 I decided it was time to eat. To the freezer I headed for some frozen ice-cream cupcakes. Super delish. I have a sweet tooth and could eat a huge bowl full of this if left alone. Truthfully.. I have a bowl of ice cream every night. I'm trying to cut it down to three a week. Truthfully.. I'm not too motivated. I decided to make the healthy choice and just have a couple bites and then eat some frozen waffles for dinner, but truthfully.. I saved them since there were only two left. I thought my hubby may eat them in the morning. So... I sat down with a few ice-cream cupcakes. Then at 10:30 Tony and I both were starving.. so he made us Top Raman.

I adore this face!
And this sleepy one.
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Tony! We had a picnic party with family Sunday afternoon, and yesterday I surprised him at work and we went to PF Chang's for dinner. Just the TWO OF US! It was awesome to get out and enjoy each other. Thanks Dad (for dinner) and Mom (for babysitting)!!
It's Truthfully Tuesday (already)!
You want the truth? Well here it is..my house is often a WRECK. Like too embarrassed to have people over kind of mess. Maybe it will improve as the kids get older. One can only hope.
I am blessed.
I hope you all have a wonderful week! I get to hop on a plane with my baby and my Mom later this week! We're going to one of my best friends weddings in Arizona. I can't wait to see friends and family and enjoy the weather and change of scenery!!

Time to bust out
The Birthday Sock!

Tony's birthday is on Monday!!
Naturally we plan to make it an all weekend long celebration!
I just dug out our 'Birthday Sock' it's a cute little nylon sock that I picked up at a boutique downtown. (We've got the blue one to the very left in the picture).
Such a cute idea, don't you think?
In other news, my little boy is TEN MONTHS old today!
Here's what he's been up to..
weighs- 19.9 lbs
9-22- he started full on crawling
pulling up to stand
love love loves his mama
falls asleep so well
loves his taggie
kneels, sits, stands
wrestles with daddy and ezra
crab crawls on hands n feet (cute!)
we love him SO much and can NOT BELIEVE he is almost one year. I'm also getting super excited to plan his party. Should I reveal the theme? Ok Ok.. I WILL. Since I'm SO excited about it!! The theme is ... (insert drum roll here) DR. SEUSS!

I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks Dr. Seuss!

Truthfully Tuesday
I am quite disgusted with the blogosphere these days. Personally I find that I compare myself to the women who's blogs I read. I love sharing some of my life highlights on here, but I'm ready to get a little more REAL. I am not perfect nor do I have it together all the time. My plan is to give you a post every Tuesday that is truthfully honest and transparent.
So here ya go!

Truthfully Tuesday-
Amen!! With God all things are possible. This is a time of growth, and self development for me. Proverbs 18:21 says
I have found myself feeling as if I'm not enough. I'm not crafty enough, I can't cook well enough, my house isn't clean enough, I'm not creative and fun enough for my kids, I'm not patient enough, I'm not smart enough.. The list goes on and on. Lies. These are all lies. I AM smart enough to know that. The enemy has really been doing his best. (John 10:10) I'm doing the bible study "Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed (a Study of David)" this sentence really jumped out at me from the study guide..."Your task is to rely on the power of God who indwells you so you can be empowered to do what you cannot do on your own."
Amen!! With God all things are possible. This is a time of growth, and self development for me. Proverbs 18:21 says
'The tongue has the power of life and death.' So how about this..
I am ENOUGH!!
I would LOVE to hear your reality if you'd like to join me in my efforts- go for it!

Butternut Squash & Apples
for baby!
1. Peel and dice apples
2. Cut acorn or butternut squash in half, scoop out seeds
3. Place halves face UP in a pan and add with an inch of water to the pan
4. Place diced apples in the squash "holes" where the seeds were & sprinkle with cinnamon if desired
5. Pour water over the apples so that there is water in the squash holes - cover pan with tinfoil
6. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 40 minutes or until the “shell/skin” puckers and halves feel soft.
Yummy baked cinnamon apples
Soft squash sticks
I scooped the rest of the squash out of the skin and tossed it in the blender with a touch of water
After blending I put it in an ice cube tray to freeze and later put into zip block baggies. (The process I use for all my homemade baby food.)

MY baby ate the 'baby food' squash well. But wasn't overly thrilled about the apples or squash sticks. I'll give it another try. Why not.. it was so fun and pretty to make!!
That's all for now!

we made a trip to the PUMPKIN PATCH on Saturday! We had a great time with my mom and our good friends the Krejci's. There was so much fun stuff for the kids to do.
Ezra and Drew picking cotton.
I love this picture because I'm pretty sure both of Ezra's feet are off of the ground.
(At one point they ran ahead and we almost lost them in the corn maze.) oopsi.
Mama and Kingsley on the Pipe Slide. Awesome!
(Notice K's hair. The itty bit he has is always sticking straight up.) Love it!
Hay fight.
Kingsley and Nate.
(Hey Nate, mind sharing some of your adorably fuzzy hair?)
We had a great time and will be up to more shenanigans with our friends this coming weekend. I hope you all are having a fantastic week!
