40 weeks and ready to pop!

Today is Eli's due date!! At my Dr. Appointment a week ago I was 1.5cm dilated and 50% effaced. I go in again tomorrow so I'm excited to see if anything has changed. I'm getting very excited to meet my little boy! Well that's all for now folks. Maybe the next time I post I'll be a mom of THREE!

Oh Baby!
On Saturday my mom hosted a baby shower
brunch for me! I totally enjoyed it.. yummy food, good friends/family, and pretty flowers and decoration! (Ha, I put the food as the first thing on the list...can you tell I'm pregnant!?) I did half expect my sister to jump out of a closet for a big surprise.. but I wasn't TOO let down.

The baby bumps! Baby Eli on left and
baby girl Ennis on right. (Bound to marry years down the road.)

I LOVED these little take home gifts. They were filled with a peep, little eggs and a big milk bordeaux egg from See's candy. Get it--- HATCH. ;)

Each guest took a guess on when Eli will make his grand appearance. He is due on the 23rd. My Mom who guessed the 4th is obviously not the winner. Sorry Mom.

Everything was so pretty and tasty and fun! I'm so thankful for my sweet friends who came and generously showered us with love!!

We're almost ALL ready for him to come! Everything is purchased (minus a couple minor last minute things) and the room is coming together. We just need to hang a few things up on the walls and we're good to go!
COME ON OUT BABY ELI!

Seattle

Tony and I managed to sneak away last Wednesday to celebrate my birthday/have a baby moon. It was wonderful!!

Since having Ezra, we've never been away over night together. I can't even believe it. I told him we needed to make that kind of thing happen more often, because it was SO nice. We we're just a few blocks up from Pike's Place Market and did a lot of walking. We had a nice dinner, did a little window shopping, and made a pit stop into See's Candy before heading back to the hotel room for the night. From our room we had a beautiful view of the space needle.
We slept in, ate breakfast in bed, had Starbucks and SUNSHINE two days in a row. All of the walking brought on a day of braxton hicks, but it was worth every second of discomfort.
It was spectacular!

SNOW!

We've had lots of snow the past few days. Tonight they are calling for about 4-6" in our area.
I've got to tell you.. my in-laws have a little fountain in their yard which holds about 2 1/2 feet of water in the pond area. Yesterday I was outside with the boys, alone.. Ezra was just behind me as I was walking over to check out what Kingsley was up to. Out of nowhere he lets out two horrible "HELPS!!!!"....  HE FELL IN THE POND. I ran over and grabed his hand to pull him out. He was SO scared and FREEZING. We ran him inside and threw him into a warm bath. I felt TERRIBLE.

Thankfully today was a much better experience. The snow was perfect for making snowballs. I'm not one for playing in the snow but I had a great time having a snowball fight with my guys.

Ez and Daddy hard at work.
Kingsley was NOT impressed with the wind.
 Ezra with Snowman STRANGE Face!
My feelings won't be hurt if you think this is the ugliest looking snowman you've ever seen.
************************************
If you see this thing from the side it's nose and chin are sticking out with a sunken in mouth. I'm kind of concerned about Tony's mental stability. Haha. Well.... what do I expect a Computer Animator to create? Here are his sculpting skills hard at work.
Have fun and stay warm!! XO

::LIFE::

- I am 30 weeks pregnant with baby Eli (It's gone SO fast!)

-We've had the boys' 2 cousins (4 and 6yrs) living with us the past 2 weeks. The house has been filled with laughter, chaos, argues, and lots of playing, and work for the adults. (I think I'll stop at 3 kids!!)
-Tomorrow we're visiting the Children's Museum in Olympia for Ezra's class field trip, should be fun!!
-I'm getting itchy to purchase and finish all things baby...we need to finish the nursery 'nook', and buy a few more things.
-After a month of rough nights getting the kids to sleep (and trying everything) we've resorted to having Ezra fall asleep in a different room, in hopes that they'll stop getting out of bed. If you've got any advice on keeping a 2 year old in bed please feel free to give it to me! Kingsley has had a MUCH harder adjustment to his big boy bed than Ezra did.
-I'm feeling pretty good.. getting big though, it's getting harder to reach the ground, I'm more tired this time around, and I've been having some leg pain.. I'm trying not to complain, but to enjoy this (likely) last pregnancy.
-I know it's only January, but I'm looking forward to some warmth, and a chance to wear some shorts and sandals. Luckily thanks to where we live, I think I should have plenty of time to shed my baby weight before that happens. :)
-We're going to have dinner with great friends on Saturday and I'm excited!!

That's all for now.. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
