My in-law's have been in town for about a week and half.. and we're having an amazing time visiting with them! Tony was able to stay home all week, it's been wonderful but it's going way toooo fast. Here's a glimpse of what we've been up to...

eating yummy food
watching movies
S.P.O.I.L.I.N.G the Grandchild
playing lots and lots and lots of games
going for walks
enjoying little Ezra together

visiting the dancing fountains

Tomorrow my Mom's going to keep Ezra while we go on a double date. We're planning on dinner and a movie (The Time Traveler's Wife) ..can't wait to see it!

SO.. that's what WE'VE been up to! Pictures to come later.

we made finger paint!

We used this recipe.
I don't know if it was the best recipe ever .. but a two year old isn't really paying much attention to the quality of paint. He had fun helping me make it and MORE fun using it!!!

So here's what ya do..

Get your helper and your ingredients ready.
Mix ingredients in pan, heat 15 minutes and let cool.

Get your helper naked down to his diaper- hopefully it's your child and not your spouse. ;)

Scoop cooled paint into separate containers.

Add food coloring until you're happy with the color.

Lay down lots and lots of newspaper to cover the surface where your little artist will paint.
And let them GO TO TOWN!!!

Today a season of my life ends-
and a new season will begin-

For the past year and ten months I've watched a little boy named Brody. I started watching him when he was only two months old, and Ezra was four months old. Today is his last day here. A house with two little boys has definitely had its ups and downs. - regardless- I know Ezra and I will miss that little guy.

Brody's Mom decided it was time for him to venture on to a full on daycare, since I'm taking time off in August with my in-laws coming, and I've got the baby on the way and will need time off then. I was shocked, fearful and worried. All things God does not want us to feel.. but hey, I'm being honest here. I knew when the baby came I didn't want to work full time ... but this was her choice, not mine... and It was scary knowing I wouldn't have my income.

But a new season begins-

God is good and I trust him. I realized my JOB didn't end- my ASSIGNMENT ended . God just has a NEW ASSIGNMENT for me. I had lots of encouragement from my family and friends. Thank God for them! I've got something lined up that I'm pretty excited about. Starting next week I'll be watching children at a local church here.. it's super part time .. like 6 hours a week.. but I'll get to bring my kids and let them socialize with other children, and I'll get to be around other adults. Yay! I know God still has something else for me out there too. I'm trusting him even though I have tons and tons of emotions going through me right now as I'm in a season of transition!

my little artist

This week Ezra did his 1st painting.
He loved it- and concentrated very hard the entire time.

I think his hard work paid off!

(I know I know.. all of the pictures are practically the same. But he's just.so.cute.)

baby baby baby

I found this great swing on Craigslist for only $35.
I'm on the hunt for some other items still-
but waiting until I find something I love at a great price!

Speaking of the baby- I have a cantaloupe sized child growing inside me!

Can you tell?
