13.5in over two days
this means 25% of our yearly rainfall in
two days

worst flooding in decades

pictures of Nashville

Gaylord Opryland Hotel had to evacuate

600 water rescues

The river downtown rose to 52 feet-
the highest since 1937

Many people were evacuated, lost power, their homes, and belongings. We were so lucky to have not been affected in any big way by this crazy storm! Thought I would share pictures of the madness with you, if you have missed it on the news. Nashville could still use prayer as they begin the clean up process and people try to get back on their feet.

Glad to see you guys weren't effected too much, especially with the two darlings you guys have. I've always wondered how the local grocery stores and services react to these catastrophes as family with little kids and the elders need more items and services from these areas. Finally, did you guys have any pre-warning about the impending flood and were able to stock up with the necessitates for the little ones? It's always the little ones and elders that I think about first as we adults can usually take care of ourselves.
